Gloucester Pilots Partnership provides a self employed pilot service from our base at the port of Sharpness on the River Severn.  The pilot service is currently formed of four dedicated pilots licenced by Gloucester Harbour Trustees CHA.

 Due to a potential retirement in early 2027, Gloucester Pilots would like to invite expressions of interest for potential candidates to join the pilot service. Unlimited master’s certificate is desirable but not essential, must have experience as Master or Chief Officer, with or without previous pilotage experience. You must also hold a full valid ENG 1 medical certificate. A potential future candidate will be most welcome to visit our district and undertake familiarisation voyages.
